At the Shine Dental Clinic, we are driven by our value of extending our services for inclusive access to oral care for all children of Nepal. Over the years, our team has designed and implemented extension programs, dental health camps, and other interventions to benefit more than 6,000 individuals.

We organized our first Oral Health Care Orientation Program for School (OHCOPS) in 2013. 1,150 students of Budhanilkantha School attended an information session about oral health care. A team of 8 doctors screened oral health problems and recommended treatment plans for the students. Over the years, the OHCOPS has grown to benefit students of different schools of Nepal, including 300 students of Ullens School, Khumaltar; 70 students (and parents) of Stepping Stone School, Jawalakhel; and 40 students of a Montessori School in Sanobharyang.

In 2014, we started our collaboration with Ama Foundation’s Ama Ghar (an orphanage in Kathmandu). Oral health care orientation, free dental check-ups, and fluoride treatments every six months, accompanied by highly subsidized care for four years helped us declare Ama Ghar an oral disease-free home. 50 individuals have been benefited from the program and we look forward to continuing it in the future.

Over the years, we have also collaborated with organizations like Sano Paila and Baby Life Home and organized oral health care orientation, brushing sessions, and fluoride treatments for children rescued from different social crises and diseases.

Every year a medical team of 18 doctors and 7 nurses embark on a journey to benefit around 800 individuals of Manang. Partnering with Himalayan Family Health Care Organization, we have been organizing health camps in Thoche and Tilche of Manang since 2013. The program has benefited more than 4,000 individuals. The program also fostered collaborations with other organizations like the Society of Ex-Budhanilkantha Students (SEBS), our partners for two years.

We have also organized industry-leading orientation sessions and training for dentists covering on themes like using Nitrous Oxide for pain-free dental treatment and basic life support systems.

Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, we have also supported several social initiatives of Nepali youth. We seek to continue our efforts to partner with the youth to contribute to a progressive Nepal that all of us have dreamt of. With a strong belief in the ideas of compassionate capitalism and socially responsible business, we look forward to continuing our support to larger communities in the future.
